Guide for Members

Everyone who works with Karisto is a Member: techs, dispatchers, office staff. This guide covers what every Member sees in the My Karisto menu. Managers and Admins can do all of this too.

Open your company's Karisto address and sign in with your company account (Microsoft, single sign-on or GitHub, as your Admin set it up). If your email belongs to your company's Autotask or an allowed domain, your Member account is created on your first sign-in; otherwise an Admin invites you. You stay signed in for 7 days. Sign out from the account menu.

Karisto is in English and German. Switch with EN / DE in the top bar; Karisto remembers your choice.

Home

Your start page shows your Points balance, your latest Positive comment, your latest Ratings and the Recognitions you received. Each tile links to its page. Managers and Admins see their Team's CSAT here instead, see the Manager guide.

My Ratings

The Ratings your customers' Contacts gave on your Tickets, newest first: Score, comment, Contact, Customer and Ticket. A Rating is credited to the person who sent the Ticket email the Contact clicked in, else to the Ticket's primary resource.

You only see Ratings once your account is linked to your Autotask Resource. If the page says you are not linked, ask an Admin. Your Admin may hide Contact names from Members. Download the list as CSV.

Feed

The whole company's Positive Ratings with a comment, newest first: the praise your customers wrote, with the tags they picked, for everyone to see. Neutral and Negative comments never appear here.

Recognition

Thank a colleague with a Recognition:

  1. Pick a Badge. Each Badge is worth a number of Points.
  2. Pick one or more colleagues.
  3. Write a message and, if you like, a Ticket reference.

Every recipient gets the Badge's Points, and an email if they have signed in to Karisto before, and the Recognition appears in the feed below for the whole company.

Rules:

  • Your Giving Budget is the number of Recognitions you may give per month (10 unless your Admin changed it). A Recognition to three colleagues uses three. Your budget renews at the start of each month.
  • You can recognise the same colleague at most twice a month, and never yourself.
  • Some Badges are Admin-only.

Admins can revoke a Recognition; its Points are then taken back and it no longer counts against the giver's Giving Budget.

If your Admin turned it on, Karisto itself recognises you on your birthday and work anniversary: the Recognition comes from "Karisto", with the Badge's Points and an email, and appears in the feed. See Profile.

Leaderboard

Only there if your Admin turned it on. It ranks Members by Points earned and by Recognitions received in a period you choose (default: last 30 days). Spending Points does not lower your score.

Contests

Only there if your Admin turned Contests on. A Contest runs for a set period on one metric, such as Tickets resolved, Positive Ratings, billable ticket hours per day worked or average first response time in business hours. In a ranked contest, Participants are ranked individually; in a Shared target, everyone's results are added up toward one target. You see the Contests you take part in; Managers also see those with Members of their Teams. Standings are updated nightly and show when they were computed; if Karisto could not update them, they are marked as not current, with the reason. A few days after a Contest ends its results are final: the standings are frozen and the Contest prizes are paid to your Points, shown in your Point Ledger with the Contest's name. You get an email when a Contest you take part in starts and when its results are final. While Contests are running, your Home shows them with your own standing.

My Points

Your Points balance and the Point Ledger: every change, with date, type and reason. You earn Points from:

  • Positive Ratings credited to you (one per Ticket; how many Points is up to your Admin)
  • Recognitions you receive
  • Grants from an Admin
  • Contest prizes, once a Contest you won is final

Points never expire and are never taken for Neutral or Negative Ratings. Points held by an open Redemption are already deducted.

Rewards

Spend your Points in your company's Rewards catalogue. Redeem appears when your balance covers the price. Redeeming holds the Points straight away, and an Admin decides:

  • Fulfilled: you get an email with a code or note, also shown under My Redemptions.
  • Rejected: your Points come back, with the reason if one was given.

A Redemption cannot be cancelled once made.

Product feedback

Found a bug in Karisto or have an idea? Click Feedback in the top bar, pick bug or idea, and write a title and message. Your company's Admins don't see it in Karisto, but it is included in your company's data export, which Admins download from the privacy page.

Leave Contains customer or personal data ticked (the default) if it mentions names, Ratings, comments or screenshots of them: it then stays in Karisto, where the Karisto team reads it (it is still part of the data export above). Untick it only for feedback without such data: it then becomes an issue on GitHub (USA) with your company's name and your role, never your name or email.

You can attach up to 3 screenshots (PNG, JPEG or WebP, 5 MB each); all screenshots of your company together can take up to 200 MB. They follow the box: ticked, they stay in Karisto with the feedback; unticked, the GitHub issue shows them through a link anyone with it can open, so leave the box ticked if a screenshot shows any names or Ratings.

My feedback lists what you sent and its status: sending, sent, failed (please send it again) or sensitive. You can send up to 10 per hour.

Open a thread to read the Karisto team's replies and to reply yourself, up to 30 replies per hour. Each reply can carry screenshots and has the same Contains customer or personal data box, ticked by default: ticked, the reply stays in Karisto and the GitHub issue only notes that you replied; unticked, it is added to the GitHub issue, never with your name or email. On sensitive feedback every reply stays in Karisto. When the Karisto team replies, you get an email (without the reply itself) and the thread shows New reply until you open it.

When the Karisto team resolves your feedback, you get an email (without the feedback itself) and the thread asks Fixed?. Confirm it to close the thread, or reopen it, with a reply if you like, when it still goes wrong; a closed thread can be reopened too. Your reply then follows the same Contains customer or personal data rules.

Profile

Profile photo: optional. Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP photo of yourself (up to 10 MB) so colleagues recognise you; everyone in your company who uses Karisto can see it, next to your name across Karisto. Without one, your initials show there; the TV dashboard always shows initials. Karisto keeps only a resized copy, without location or camera data. If you sign in with single sign-on, Use my … photo takes your photo from that sign-in provider instead: you confirm at the provider once more, and Karisto fetches the photo only then, never at sign-in. If the provider has no photo of you, Karisto says so. Uploading or importing it is your consent; remove it here at any time to withdraw. An Admin can remove it too, but never set one for you. It is included in the full data export and deleted if you are anonymised.

Birthday: optional. Enter the day and month (no year) if you want Karisto to recognise you on your birthday. No page in Karisto shows the date to anyone else; your team sees the Recognition. Like all your company's data, it is included when an Admin downloads the full data export. Delete it at any time; it is also deleted if your Admin turns birthdays off. Past birthday Recognitions stay.

Work anniversary: your hire date, set by your Admin. Karisto recognises you on each anniversary unless you turn it off here.

Both only happen if your Admin picked a Badge for them; until then you cannot enter a birthday.
